After completion of the I-75 / I-595 Florida project, our same client was awarded a precast segmental bridge in Edmonton. Somerset was retained to produce all the erection procedures, crane layouts, purpose built equipment and pier prop falsework design.

We utilized the 60 ton capacity lifting frame from Florida, together with specially designed travelling twin C frames which delivered the segments from the pier to the hooks. As a cost saving, Somerset designed an exterior reusable temporary P. T. system to secure the segments prior to permanent post tensioning.
